India, Jan. 27 -- The 8th Central Pay Commission work has started to progress because there needs to be an official salary and pension announcement for 2026. The commission has started putting its internal team in place by fast-tracking the appointment of officers.

The organization needs to fill several key positions through deputation as part of its early operational development. The commission requires this step because it needs to start pay scale discussions, allowance negotiations, and pension revision talks after it becomes fully operational.

A total of six positions are to be filled in the 8th Pay Commission. Out of these, two posts may be for PSO (Principal Staff Officer).
