NEW DELHI, March 29 -- Following the arrest of six illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators from the Jahangirpuri area, who were found engaging in criminal activities while masquerading as transgenders, Delhi's Home Minister, Ashish Sood, has taken suo motu cognizance of the case. He has directed the police to adopt stringent measures, asserting that no illegal infiltrator would be permitted to remain in Delhi.

The minister recalled mentioning in his budget speech that the Delhi Government would soon assume control of the detention centre in Lampur.
