SHIMLA, March 2 -- CHIEF Minister Jai Ram Thakur released a book "Astrology Ek Vigyan," written by an eminent writer Gurmeet Bedi in Chandigarh.
He said that astrology was an ancient science, in which authentic information was given about planetary constellations and celestial bodies by making very precise calculations.
He said that the Vedas had been called the sixth eye of astrology. Indian sages and mystics had enriched this genre by writing many important texts on astrology, he said.
Thakur expressed happiness that apart from creation in different genres of literature, Gurmeet Bedi, after his extensive research of three decades, had tried to prove it a complete science by resolving many misconceptions spread about astrology in his bo...
