LUDHIANA, March 3 -- SENIOR journalist Rajesh Bhambi was cremated here on Tuesday, with family, friends as well as many prominent personalities and journalists bidding him a tearful adieu.

Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh's Media Advisor Raveen Thukral laid a wreath on behalf of the CM, while personally mourning Bhambi as a close friend. The Chief Minister had earlier condoled the sudden demise of Bhambi, who was suffering from a kidney ailment for some time and breathed his last on Sunday morning at Deep Hospital, Ludhiana.

A wreath was also placed on Bhambi on behalf of the Hindustan Times, where he had worked as a stringer covering Punjab.
