MANDI, Feb. 15 -- The police have booked a resident of Sunder Nagar area here for allegedly duping five persons on the pretext of sending them abroad.
DSP, Sunder Nagar, Gurbachan Singh said five persons namely Hem Raj, Manish Kumar, Kamlesh Kumar, Rajender Kumar and Chuni Lal had filed a complaint against Bhim Singh of Khurahal village under Sunder Nagar division for allegedly duping them on the pretext of sending them abroad.
The complaint alleged the accused Bhim Singh had promised them to send abroad by charging a hefty sum in connivance with some people of Chennai. They said the accused after charging Rs 4 lakh from them handed them tourist visas for Malaysia.
