JAMMU Tawi, Feb. 26 -- Rejecting Bail Plea of Amazon Prime's India Head in the Tandav Case, the court said Indian filmmakers repeatedly ridicule Hindu Gods 'taking benefit of their liberal and tolerant culture'.

The court said this needs to be stopped as it could have disastrous consequences for India.

This comes after over 10 FIRs were filed against the makers of Tandav and Amazon Prime India Head Aparna Purohit for Insulting Hindu Gods.

Earlier the Supreme Court of India had also refused to provide protection to the makers of Tandav while observing that 'Freedom of Expression and speech is not absolute'.
