Srinagar, Jan. 8 -- At least two civilians were injured after terrorists hurled a grenade on CRPF personnel at Habak Chowk of Srinagar on Wednesday afternoon.

Following the attack on CRPF personnel, security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.

Officials said the grenade, which was lobbed at CRPF soldiers at Habak in Srinagar, missed the target and exploded nearby causing injuries to at least two people.

Sources have told India Today that the grenade was lobbed over the wall from inside the Kashmir University.

Earlier this month, suspected terrorists had hurled a grenade on CRPF personnel in Kawdara locality in Srinagar, resulting in injuries to a 16-year-old boy, police said.
