NIGERIA, Dec. 8 -- Following FIFA's revised instruction on player release for the Africa Cup of Nations, organizers of the international friendly between Egypt and Nigeria have confirmed the game has been moved from December 14 to December 16.

As both teams increase preparations for the continental championship set to be held in Morocco from December 21 to January 18, 2026, the change guarantees that they will have their full complement available.



The Egyptian Football Association said that December 15 became the new date because clubs are now allowed to release their players only.
