Nigeria, July 24 -- Airtel Africa started the new fiscal year on a solid note with a spectacular year-on-year increase of 269 percent in its pre-tax profit to $273 million in the 2025 first quarter.
This figure is 41 percent of the overall group pre-tax result in the entire 2024/2025 financial year and a good beginning for its 2025/2026 fiscal cycle.
Even more phenomenal is the after-tax profit of the company, which increased to $156 million, 408 percent more than last year's at the same time period. Alone, the figure contributes to nearly half, approximately 48 percent, of its net profit over the whole fiscal year of the previous period.
