Dhaka, Feb. 18 -- The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday granted bail to Prothom Alo Editor and Publisher Matiur Rahman in the case filed over the death of Naimul Abrar Rahat, a student of Dhaka Residential Model College.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (in-charge) Md Kaysarul Islam passed the order upon a bond of Tk 2,000 with two guarantors after Matiur Rahman surrendered in the court seeking bail in the case.
Earlier, on January 20, the High Court Division of the Supreme Court granted him bail for four weeks and directed him to appear
