A local leader of Jubo League (JL) was held with a pistol at Maddhokotgaon area in Munshiganj district town early Friday.

Detained Saiful Islam Elan, 52, is a leader of Munshiganj Jubo League. He was an accused in six cases including of arms and attempt to murder.

Munshiganj Detective Branch (DB) police OC Mozammel Haque said they detained him from the area around 130 am along with foreign pistol.

A case was filed with Sadar Police Station in this connection.
