Dhaka, Oct. 3 -- Amid the escalating tension on the Bangladesh-Myanmar borders due to Myanmar's internal conflicts in Rakhine State, the Bangladesh Coast Guard has intensified its patrolling and surveillance across the Teknaf border to prevent Rohingya infiltration.

Bangladesh Coast Guard is on high alert so that no adverse situation is created across the Teknaf border out of the internal instability of the neighbouring country, said Lt. Commander Khandaker Munif Taqi, media officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters in the capital on Sunday.
