Srinagar, Nov. 21 -- - A talk on Persian literary traditions of Kashmir was held at Kani home, Zakura on Sunday afternoon. The talk was delivered by Prof. Mufti Mudasir Farooqi who is a faculty member at the department of English, University of Kashmir. The event which was held in the lawns of Kani home was attended by a wide range of literary personalities.

Speaking on the occasion, Professor Mufti Mudasir said the beginnings of Persian language in Kashmir can be traced back to 14thcentury A.D. with the establishment ofShahmirirule.
