SRINAGAR, Oct. 8 -- After witnessing chilly weather conditions due to intermittent rain and snow during the last three days, sunshine greeted people on Tuesday in the summer capital, Srinagar and other past of Kashmir valley though icy winds continued.

A Met department spokesperson told UNI that light rain and thundershower would occur at isolated placed during the next 24 hours in the valley under the influence of a Western Disturbance (WD), which has lost its strength. "The weather will turn dry from Wednesday onwards. It would result in improvement in the maximum temperature," he added.
