SRINAGAR, Aug. 4 -- Governor Satya Pal Malik on Saturday said fears regarding state's special status and trifurcation talk were misplaced and nothing of sort was imminently happening as per his opinion.

"As we keep on discussing with leadership in New Delhi, nothing has come to fore that something is imminently happening," Malik said in an interview here.

"Regarding talks about the doing away of the two Articles (35A and 370) or trifurcation of the state (statehood for Jammu and declaring Kashmir and Ladakh union territories), all these things would come from Parliament.
