SRINAGAR, Sept. 20 -- Situation was still far from normal as shops and business establishments remained closed for the 47th day on Friday in the Kashmir valley, where people are protesting against scrapping of Article 370 and 35 A besides dividing state into two Union Territories.

Meanwhile, restrictions under Section 144 CrPC, banning assemble of four or more persons, continued as a precautionary measure in the valley, where internet and mobile service of all Cellular companies, including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), remained suspended since August 5.

Educational institutions also remained closed as students stayed away from their classes since August 5 in the valley.
