Srinagar, Nov. 25 -- - Cold conditions prevailed in Jammu and Kashmir as Srinagar, the summer capital of J&K, recorded the season's coldest night on Friday.

A MeT department official here said that Srinagar recorded a low of minus 1.4degC against minus 0.8degC on the previous night. The temperature was 1.5degC below normal during this time of the year for the capital city so far, he said, as per news agency GNS.

Qazigund recorded a low of minus 2.2degC against minus 2.0degC on the previous night. The temperature was 2.3degC below normal for the gateway town of Kashmir, he said.
