SRINAGAR, March 26 -- Police in Srinagar have arrested a lady drug peddler and recovered a substantial quantity of contraband substance from her possession.

A Police party from Police Station Shaltang at a checkpoint established at Panzinara, noticed a lady attempting to flee the scene. The alert police party promptly apprehended her. During the search, 1 kg 940 grams of cannabis-like substance was recovered from her possession. The arrested lady peddler has been identified as Jabeena Bano wife of Bashir Ahmed Malik resident of Panzinara, Srinagar.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 27/2025 under relevant sections of law has been registered and investigation has been initiated.
