Srinagar, April 24 -- WhatsApp has introduced a new Advanced Chat Privacy feature to boost user security by restricting chat exports and automatic media downloads. Now available for iOS and Android users, this update offers extra protection for one-on-one and group chats, enhancing WhatsApp's existing end-to-end encryption.

With this feature enabled, users can block others from exporting chats or auto-downloading shared media. It also limits content use for Meta AI, making chats more private-especially in groups where participants may not know each other well.

To activate it, users can tap on a chat name and select Advanced Chat Privacy. Meta confirms this is just the first version, with more upgrades coming soon.
