Srinagar, March 12 -- The Meteorological Department has forecast an improvement in weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir from the afternoon of March 16.

An official said that intermittent light to moderate rain and snowfall over higher reaches are expected to continue at many places until March 15.

"On March 16, there is a possibility of intermittent light rain and snow at a few places in the morning, but weather conditions are expected to improve by the afternoon," the official stated.

Meanwhile, the department has warned of possible landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones at vulnerable locations.

The weather is likely to remain generally dry from March 17 to 21, the official added.
