Srinagar, Dec. 21 -- Two back-to-back Western Disturbances are likely to affect Jammu and Kashmir between Saturday and Tuesday. IMD has forecast a wet spell from December 20. December 21 may witness fairly widespread rainfall in the plains and snowfall in the higher reaches. Srinagar is likely to receive 1 to 2 inches of snowfall during the period. Prolonged dry weather has hit the water discharge in major rivers, streams, and springs across Kashmir. The water level of the Jhelum has fallen to 0.65 meters at Sangam and Pampore.
