Srinagar, May 15 -- The United States and Saudi Arabia have signed a landmark defence agreement valued at nearly $142 billion, which the White House has described as "the largest defence cooperation agreement in US history."

Marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral ties, the pact covers an extensive range of defence sales, military training programs, technology transfers, and strategic investments aimed at deepening security and economic collaboration.

The deal is part of a broader Saudi commitment to invest $600 billion into key sectors of the US economy, including defence, technology, artificial intelligence, and infrastructure development.
