JAMMU, Feb. 14 -- The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has approved a one-year extension for the deputation of three IAS officers serving in Jammu and Kashmir.

The officers-Athar Aamir, Bashir Ahmed, and Akshay Labroo-will continue their tenure in the Union Territory following a request from the J&K Government.

According to official sources, the extension has been granted as a special case, with relaxation of existing rules.

The DoPT operates under the leadership of Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Dr. Jitendra Singh.
