Kupwara, April 11 -- In a bid to promote road safety and enforce traffic laws, SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir R.P. Singh, along with DySP Traffic Mujahid Nazir, launched a special drive in various parts of Kupwara on Thursday.
The operation resulted in 62 challans being issued for multiple traffic violations. Authorities also seized four vehicles and collected a total fine of Rs.9,200 from violators.
Notably, one vehicle was fined in the Lolab area for using a pressure horn, which contributes to noise pollution and poses safety hazards.
