BARAMULLA, April 12 -- Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, today chaired an important meeting to review the proposed alignment of the Sopore-Kupwara railway line, a key connectivity project in north Kashmir.

The meeting was informed that the proposed alignment has been carefully planned to minimize the impact on horticultural land and avoid existing structures to the maximum extent possible. The Northern Railway officials presented detailed maps and technical plans to support their assessment.
