Srinagar, July 10 -- India skipper Shubman Gill has made a thunderous start to the 5-match Test series against England, amassing over 585 runs in just the first two Tests at Leeds and Birmingham. With three matches and six innings still to go, the in-form batter is well on track to rewrite cricketing history - and possibly surpass some of the most iconic records set by the legendary Sir Donald Bradman.
Most Runs in a Test Series as Captain:Bradman set the benchmark with 810 runs during the 1936-37 Ashes series. Gill, currently at 585, needs just 225 more to eclipse that mark - a realistic goal given his current form.
