SRINAGAR, June 11 -- Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, today flagged off the 6th Aryans Shikara Race at Dal Lake, organised by Jammu and Kashmir students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh.

The event aimed to revive tourism in the Valley following the recent Pahalgam incident.

Speaking at the occasion, Minister Itoo said the unique initiative would promote J&K's tourism potential both nationally and internationally. "This race is not just an event, it is a celebration of peace, unity and the unmatched beauty of our J&K. Promoting such activities helps create new narratives around the region, drawing positive attention and boosting tourism," she said.
