Srinagar, April 23 -- The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast a brief spell of light rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds across several parts of Kashmir in the next 1-2 hours.

Areas likely to be affected include Uri, Gulmarg, Tangmarg, Srinagar, Bandipora, Banihal, Dal Lake, and nearby regions.

As a safety precaution, the MeT has advised suspending shikara rides and boating activities on Dal Lake and other water bodies during this period.
