India, Jan. 23 -- Power supply across the Kashmir Valley has been badly affected as active load has dropped to less than 100 MW against the usual demand of around 1700 MW, largely due to widespread damage caused by gusty winds, officials said.
According to a post on X by the Office of the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, quoting the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) as per news agency Kashmir News Corner - KNC, almost all 33 KV feeders have gone out of service, including those supplying electricity to emergency services.
