Srinagar, Dec. 6 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha recently laid the foundation stone for the construction of 530 new houses for flood-affected families inRambanand Udhampur. Construction of the fully damaged 189 homes inRambanand 341 homes in Udhampur will be undertaken free of cost. The cost of these new three-bedroom prefabricated 'Smart Homes' will be borne by the High-range Rural Development Society (HRDSIndia). In fact, this is yet another promise fulfilled by LG Sinha. A total of 1,500 homes will be built across Jammu and Kashmir for families affected by natural calamitiesand unprovoked Pakistani shelling during Operation Sindoor.Construction will be completed within six months.
