SRINAGAR, July 5 -- In a swift operation, Police in Handwara apprehended an individual involved in bovine theft at Mawer Crossing on the evening of July 4, 2025.

A police team from Police Station Qalamabad, while conducting night patrolling duty, intercepted a suspicious person leading a group of bovines near Mawer Crossing. Upon noticing the police party presence, the suspect attempted to flee, but the police team swiftly responded, effectively apprehending him on the spot. He has been identified as Mohd Ismaiel Badana, son of Gulam ud Din, a resident of Lahikote Monabal.
