VARANASI (UP), April 11 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on his visit to Varanasi on Friday, was briefed about the alleged gang-rape of a 19-year-old woman in the city and instructed officials to take the strictest possible action against the perpetrators.

Upon arrival, Modi met with the police commissioner, divisional commissioner, and district magistrate, receiving a detailed report on the case. The Prime Minister emphasized the need for stringent action against the culprits and urged for measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
