Ganderbal, Feb. 2 -- Shallabugh Wetland Conservation Reserve, sprawling over 1,675 hectares across Srinagar and Ganderbal districts, is rapidly turning into a renowned eco-tourism hotspot. With its designation as a Ramsar site on June 8, 2022, the wetland has garnered global recognition for its vital role in preserving biodiversity.
This protected wetland is home to a diverse array of bird species, including the Pintail, Common Teal, Wigeon, Gadwall, Mallard, and the rare Pallas's Fish Eagle.
