Srinagar, Dec. 24 -- Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic), City Srinagar, Aijaz Ahmad on Wednesday said that concrete measures are being taken to decongest Srinagar city and streamline traffic movement, asserting that no vehicle from outside Srinagar district will be allowed to enter the city centre.
Speaking to reporters while leading a traffic enforcement drive in Srinagar, SSP Aijaz Ahmad said that Sumo vehicles have been creating serious traffic congestion and efforts are underway to restrict their movement beyond Shergarhi Police Station. He said this step is aimed at easing traffic flow in the congested core areas of the city.
