SRINAGAR, May 26 -- Senior National Conference leader and party spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq has sharply criticized the delay in holding elections for the Rajya Sabha seats from Jammu & Kashmir, urging the Election Commission of India (ECI) to take immediate action in line with democratic principles.

"Over six to seven months have passed, yet the Rajya Sabha elections for Jammu & Kashmir have not been conducted. The people of the region deserve representation in Parliament, and the Election Commission must take cognizance of this delay," Sadiq said while speaking to reporters.
