SRINAGAR, April 2 -- The Meteorological Department has predicted light snowfall over the higher reaches of north Kashmir and the Sonamarg-Zojila axis on Thursday, with generally cloudy conditions expected by the afternoon.

An official stated that the weather is likely to remain dry across Jammu and Kashmir from April 4 to 7. However, between April 8 and 11, scattered and isolated areas in the region may receive light snowfall.

"On April 8, the sky will turn cloudy in the afternoon, with a chance of light snowfall over the higher reaches of north Kashmir and Sonamarg.
