SRINAGAR, June 11 -- The Centre has sanctioned 316 road projects for Jammu and Kashmir under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY-IV).
Estimated to cost Rs. 4224.23 Cr, the projects envisage building 1781 km of road length in Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir has become, first among all states /UTs to get sanction for road projects under PMGSY-IV.
The biggest ever package sanctioned for J&K under PMGSY will provide connectivity to 390 eligible habitations with a population of more than 250 souls.
