India, Jan. 28 -- Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Ajit Pawar was among four people killed after a chartered aircraft crash-landed in Pune district on Wednesday morning, officials said. Confirmation from multiple agencies is still awaited.
According to preliminary information, the chartered plane, flying from Mumbai to Baramati, made a crash landing at around 8.45 am. Initial reports indicate that Ajit Pawar was on board and was travelling to Baramati to attend a public rally for the Zilla Parishad elections.
