Srinagar, April 30 -- The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted light rain with thunder and gusty winds at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir from May 1 to 5. Until then, a heatwave is likely in some areas, with hot and dry weather persisting across the region.
Residents and tourists are advised to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours (12-3 pm). Dry weather is expected from May 6 to 8, with a chance of light rain or thunder on May 9 and 10.
Farmers are encouraged to continue operations till May 1, and the public is urged to follow administrative and traffic advisories.
