Srinagar, April 16 -- The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast cloudy skies with light rain and thunderstorms over North and Central Kashmir this afternoon, along with gusty winds.

However, a more significant weather disturbance is expected between April 18 and 20, with widespread light to moderate rain and snow over higher reaches, particularly affecting most parts of the Union Territory. The Met Department has also warned of moderate to heavy rain at isolated to scattered locations, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds, especially on April 18 and 19.
