Ganderbal, April 19 -- Khalil Ahmad Poswal (JKPS) on Saturday assumed charge as the new Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal, succeeding Raghav S (IPS).

A formal handing-over ceremony was held at the District Police Headquarters where SSP Poswal was welcomed with a Guard of Honour and greeted by senior officers. The outgoing SSP Raghav S handed over the baton in a brief and graceful function.

Following his assumption of charge, SSP Poswal held an introductory meeting with senior officers and emphasized the need for dedication, teamwork, and transparency in policing. He directed officers to maintain a corruption-free system and adopt a focused strategy to combat drug abuse in the district.
