SRINAGAR, June 14 -- The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has welcomed the announcement regarding the reopening of eight tourist destinations in the Kashmir Valley, terming it a vital and timely intervention to support the revival of the tourism sector, which has suffered a sharp downturn following the recent tragic attack in the Pahalgam area.

As per the government's decision, tourist attractions including Betab Valley, Verinag, Kokernag, and Achabal Gardens in Anantnag district, along with public parks in the Pahalgam market area, will now be open to visitors. In Srinagar, Badamwari Garden, Duck Park, and Taqdeer Park near Hazratbal will also reopen.
