SRINAGAR, May 12 -- Expressing anguish over the loss of life and property in the cross-border conflict in both Jammu as well as in Kashmir regions, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hameed Karra on Monday urged the Government to take immediate measures to ensure compensation and resettlement of all displaced people.

Karra strongly urged both the Government of India and the J&K Government to grant all the deceased persons the status of martyr.

In a statement, JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra expressed deep pain and anguish over the loss of life and property in the recent cross-border conflict, seeking immediate rehabilitation and compensation for injured persons and the families of those who lost their lives.
