Srinagar, June 10 -- Jammu and Kashmir continued to reel under an intense heatwave on Tuesday, with temperatures soaring well above normal across most parts, while Srinagar recorded the day temperature of 33.5 degree celcius.
Both Kashmir and Jammu divisions witnessed high maximum temperatures, triggering heat-related advisories.
In the Kashmir region, Srinagar recorded a scorching 33.5degC, 5.5degC above the seasonal average. Qazigund reported 34.0degC (7.3degC above normal), while Kokernag and Pahalgam sizzled at 32.2degC and 29.2degC respectively. Gulmarg, the popular hill resort, recorded 23.0degC, still 4.2degC above normal.
