SRINAGAR, June 6 -- In a profound celebration of environmental responsibility, School Education Department (SED), Jammu and Kashmir, observed World Environment Day 2025 with resounding enthusiasm and heartfelt commitment across all districts of the Union Territory.

The theme for this year, "Beat Plastic Pollution," became a rallying call for students, teachers and communities to rise in defense of the Earth. The main event was held at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Ganderbal, where Director School Education Kashmir (DSEK), Dr. G.N. Itoo led the proceedings as chief guest.
