Srinagar, March 5 -- Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 30 percent above the average precipitation in the past five days, thereby increasing the water level in the river Jhelum and other streams.
As per the data, the average rainfall is 25.4mm. Jammu and Kashmir has recorded a rainfall of 33mm from March 1 to 5.
The highest precipitation was recorded in Bandipora, with details revealing that the station recorded 68% rainfall than the average precipitation.
Nine stations, including Srinagar, the summer capital of J&K, Budgam, Baramulla, Doda, Kupwara, Pulwama, Rajouri, Shopian, and Udhampur, recorded excess rainfall, which varies from 20% to 59% above the normal rainfall.
