Srinagar, July 23 -- Despite heavy rainfall in the Ramban-Banihal stretch of NH-44 and widespread inclement weather across Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway remains open for traffic, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
"There are rains in the Ramban-Banihal sector of NH-44, but the highway remains open for traffic," said an official.
He added that both convoys of the Shri Amarnath Yatra are proceeding normally through Ramban district towards Pahalgam and Baltal base camps.
