New Delhi, May 31 -- India's active Covid-19 cases have climbed to 2,710, with Kerala, Maharashtra, and Delhi emerging as the worst-affected states, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Kerala leads with 1,147 active cases, followed by Maharashtra with 424, Delhi with 294, and Gujarat with 223. Tamil Nadu has logged 148 infections, while Karnataka and West Bengal have reported 148 and 116 cases respectively.

Health officials have assured that most of the infections are mild, urging the public not to panic amid this spike.
