Hisar, April 14 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a massive rally in Hisar on Ambedkar Jayanti, said India had only 74 airports before 2014, but the number has now crossed 150, highlighting a decade of progress under the BJP government.

The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the new terminal at Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar and flagged off the first flight to Ayodhya. Regular flights will now connect Hisar to Ayodhya (twice a week), and Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh (thrice a week), marking a major expansion in Haryana's aviation sector.

The new terminal, worth over Rs.410 crore, will include a modern terminal building, cargo facility, and ATC tower.
