Srinagar, March 20 -- The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Government Dental College Srinagar, organized a mega oral health awareness and treatment campaign in view of World Oral Health Day, observed every year on March 20. The campaign was flagged off by Professor (Dr.) Ajaz Shah, Principal Dean, Government Dental College and Hospital, from the college campus.

This year, 2025, the World Oral Health Day theme is "A Happy Mouth is a Happy Body", emphasizing the link between mental health and dental health. Poor oral hygiene can lead to gum disease, cavities, and tooth loss, which can impact social relationships, self-esteem, and overall mental well-being.
